Abstract Biodegradable PLA which is produced by polymerization of lactic acid derived from the starch plants a good candidate for replacing current petroleum-based polymers such as polystyrene (PS) or Polypropylene (PP) in food packaging application. These do contribute to large-scale environmental pollution it non-degradable polymer. Being classified Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) contact applications, film application can be synthesized lab-scale and mass production using solvent casting injection molding are common thermoplastic fabrication with fast low cost. The characterization methods used analysis done Universal Tensile machine (UTS) main characteristics polymer compatibility its performance combined materials have been discussed comparison those pure films.
